Hilary Garrett

Hilary Garrett is a specialist in women's health who understands the physical and emotional issues that challenge women across the life span. Hilary Garrett Physical Therapy offers compassionate care with individualized approaches to achieving better quality of life.

Through her extensive training and holistic outlook, she will guide you toward relief of problems, allowing you to take charge of your own health with greater confidence. Many health issues facing women as we age are both uncomfortable and difficult to talk about. Hilary Garrett provides a completely comfortable, professional and private setting in order to listen, put you at ease, and develop an individual treatment approach that works for you.

Hilary Garrett, MS, PT is recognized as a regional expert in the rehabilitation of pelvic floor pain and weakness, musculoskeletal problems associated with childbearing, and community education to improve awareness as a means of prevention. Her innovative treatment programs are research-based, and integrate clinical findings with your unique history to determine the best choices for intervention.

Hilary Garrett earned her Masters of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Boston University in 1981. After practicing for 20 years in hospitals, sports medicine centers, and private offices, in 2001 Hilary created a new type of private practice with a focus on women’s health in a private, comfortable setting. Since 1993 she has pursued post-professional academic and clinical training to become an expert in women’s health, and has been a featured speaker on women’s health issues at seminars for physical therapists and nurses. In 2007, she received her certificate in advanced pelvic physical therapy from the Section on Women's Health of the American Physical Therapy Association. In October, 2011, Hilary merged her practice with that of Alpine Physical Therapy, and joined colleague Diana Spring, DPT to offer comprehensive care to patients with pelvic floor dysfunction. Hilary Garrett is the Pacific Northwest regional representative for the Section. She is also a member of the Oregon PT Association and the International Pelvic Pain Society. Hilary is fluent in Spanish.

Diana Spring earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Washington in Seattle. She had the opportunity to work with high risk bed rest moms and seeks out ongoing researched based treatment and assessment tools to maximize your return to health and function. Ongoing continuing education emphasizes research based assessment and treatment for pelvic health issues in men and women. She is actively pursuing the Certificate of Achievement for Pelvic Physical Therapy and Pregnancy and Postpartum (CAPP). Diana Spring is a member of the Oregon PT Association and the American Physical Therapy Association.
